Attorney Cindy Diggs of Holmes, Diggs & Sadler, was recently interviewed by KTRK-TV in a segment about a Houston woman who was being cyberstalked by her ex-husband. The woman says that her ex-husband had every text, every picture, and knew exactly where she was at all times. Diggs indicated that people usually find out they are victims of cyberstalking when they realize that the other person knows things that they shouldn’t know. Learn more by watching the video below.
Diggs said that, despite whether people feel positively or negatively about the ruling, it is likely the most significant Supreme Court decision of this generation, as it opens up the right to marry to an entire group of people for whom this right was previously unavailable.
On Friday alone, the Harris County Clerk’s office began putting the new law into practice by issuing about 50 marriage certificates to newly-eligible couples.
According to Diggs, her law firm and other family lawyers have already dealt with custody issues involving same-sex couples. “Now of course, same-sex couples will be able to marry and they will be able to divorce, whether they were married in this state or in some other state,” Diggs stated.
