David Duchovny and Tea Leoni split after 17 years of marriage

54-year-old X Files alum David Duchovny and 48-year-old Deep Impact actress Tea Leoni ended their 17-year marriage in a divorce filed in June, Mail Online reported on Saturday, August 9.

Although Duchovny and Leoni will share legal custody over their two children, 15-year-old daughter Madelaine West and 12-year-old son Kyd Miller, Leoni will take the primary physical custody over them. Duchovny will reportedly pay the actress $40,000 a month in spousal support, $8,333 a month in child support, and other additional costs relating to the children, such as private school and college costs.

The two wed in 1997 and were separated twice before filing for divorce.

Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony now officially divorced

After eight years of marriage, singer-actress Jennifer Lopez and salsa sensation Marc Anthony are officially divorced, The New York Daily News reported on Thursday, June 19.

The divorce agreement was finalized almost three years after the couple decided to split. Although the agreement does not include any alimony or child support clauses for their twins, Max and Emme, both have agreed that Lopez will have primary custody of the children.  The agreement also stated that Anthony is allowed seven days every month to spend with the kids, but with a babysitter.

The divorce agreement also included a “paparazzi clause” that aims to protect their children from the media. The two promised to do what they possibly can to follow the clause.

Protecting your child’s interests is one of the vital goals every parent couple’s divorce agreement should include.
