A recent research study by an associate professor from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro concluded that living together before marriage does not lead to divorce, according to a Huffington Post article published on Tuesday, March 11.
After analyzing the data on married women from the National Survey of Family Growth, associate professor Arielle Kuperberg said it is not early cohabitation that increases the risk of divorce, but actually how young a couple is when they decide to get married.
Kuperberg said the result of the study is significant, as it modifies the conventional knowledge about how early cohabitation is being linked to divorce.
