To further protect our employees and our clients we are encouraging meetings by phone, FaceTime, Skype or similar means. We have represented clients from out of state and out of the country in this manner for many years. Our clients often prefer this to traveling to our office.
We are also working with the divorce and civil courts, as well as opposing counsel, to arrange court appearances, settlement conferences, and other litigation events remotely whenever possible.
To further protect the health of all concerned, all of our attorneys and staff have the technology and capability to work on cases and with clients from home as well as at the office. Your phone calls will be returned. Your emails will be answered. Your case deadlines will be met.
The days ahead may be a challenge. We do not yet know the extent to which particular courts will curtail trials or even the extent to which Holmes, Diggs & Sadler will have clients and other guests come to our office. But we will continue to work to take care of our client’s cases and to take on new matters and clients. We will simply manage your case in less traditional, more technology-driven ways, that are safer for your health and ours.
On May 19, a Manhattan judge dismissed the fraudulent divorce lawsuit against billionaire Steven Cohen due to a lack of evidence that he had cheated his estranged spouse Patricia out of millions, a report of CNBC stated.
According to reports, Patricia alleged that Cohen committed fraud in a 1990 divorce case by concealing millions of dollars. Patricia is pursuing to get 50 percent of the supposedly hidden $5.5 million with interest. However, Manhattan federal court Chief Judge Loretta Preska ruled there was insufficient evidence presented in court to support Patricia’s claims. The judge also noted Patricia filed the lawsuit too late as she had previously suspected Steven of concealing his assets in 1991 and in 2006. The legal team representing Patricia stated they disagree with the decision and are considering appealing the case.

Pacheco filed for divorce in December 2014 and cited irreconcilable differences. Renner is set to make monthly child support payments worth $13,000 and 5 percent of the excess in his annual salary, which is reportedly more than $2.3 million. London’s Central Family Court has granted Sunetra Atkinson a divorce from 60-year-old Mr. Bean and Blackadder actor Rowan Atkinson on November 10. The makeup artist cited “unreasonable behavior” as her reason for divorcing the comedian, according to reports.
The proceeding, which was not attended by Rowan, took about a minute, and the district judge granted the 54-year-old Sunetra a decree nisi against her husband. The ex-couple had been married for 24 years, but have been separated since 2014.
Family Law Attorney Andrew Newbury said that although the case was “described as granting a divorce, it will not be final until Sunetra Atkinson applies for a decree absolute, which is the document legalizing the end of the couple’s marriage.”

Guy Pearce, 48-year-ole Memento star, announced on October 13 that he had already separated from his wife, Kate Mestitz, back in January. The couple were married for eighteen years and have known each other for nearly thirty-five years.
The Hurt Locker actor has always worked to keep his personal life private, and it appears his divorce will be no different. Although they are separating, Pearce had nothing but kind words for Mestitz in a few social media posts he made after the announcement. The separation was amicable, and he mentioned that they remain close after the divorce.
No reason for the separation was given, but Pearce took to social media to show his appreciation for his now ex-wife. He confirmed the separation through a series of posts, saying, “Rumours are true, I’m afraid – Kate and I parted ways back in January.”
