Using Twitter may lead to infidelity and divorce, study concludes

A recent study revealed Twitter users are more likely to be involved in Twitter-related conflicts, which may lead to negative relationship outcomes, including cheating and divorce.

The study, which was published in the journal of Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking, found that individuals who regularly tweet, respond to tweets, message other users, and check the Twitter timeline, are more vulnerable to marital confrontations that may prompt infidelity and divorce.

The study involved 581 active Twitter users who were asked a variety of questions about how often they use and check Twitter.
